

Barbara Myers ColemanSunrise: December 7, 1951 Sunset: March 30, 2016 Barbara was born in Colleton County, S.C., the oldest of three daughters of August and Rumel Jamison Myers. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined Miller Swamp Baptist Church in Sycamore, S.C., at a young age. She received her formal education in the public schools of Colleton County, S.C., and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1977. As a young woman, Barbara made her home in Houston, Texas, where she began her career at AT&T in 1979 and retired from the company in May 2012. She was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. Though she is no longer physically with us, her generous and kind spirit will forever live in he hearts of all those she so lovingly touched. She leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted husband, Victor Dale Coleman; two sons, Quincy Coleman and Stedmann (Brittaneé) Coleman, both of Houston; a grandson, Mycah Coleman of Houston; a loving mother, Rumel Myers of Allendale, S.C.; two sisters, Sandra (Dwight) Sweat of Houston and Debra (Sam) Lance of Varnville, S.C.; four sisters-in-law, Juanita (Richard) Bradshaw of Chicago, Ill., Barbara Latham of Cleveland, Miss., Judge Linda Coleman of Mound Bayou, Miss., and Glenda L. Coleman of Houston; a brother-in-law, Granville (Lois) Coleman of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; five aunts, one uncle, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and loving relatives and friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her father and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
