

Nadine Fitzpatrick was born on October 28, 1948 to Louis Galvin Sr. and Clemard Jean Galvin in Monroe, Louisiana. She was a graduate of Carroll High School - Monroe, Louisiana and attended Northeast Louisiana University - Monroe, Louisiana. Nadine confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. Timothy Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe, Louisiana. Nadine relocated to Houston, Texas as a young adult where she joined Greater Galilee Missionary Baptist Church - Pastor R. M. Shepherd and remained a faithful member under Pastor Mack A. Paul until her home going. Nadine worked for over 40 years in the field of Finance for various companies such as Kroger, Panhandle Trunkline Gas & Oil and The Coca Cola Company from which she retired in 2000. Deeply rooted in the love of family, Nadine always expressed her love and concern for each of her family members - both near and far. Nadine loved to travel, spend time with family and friends and SHOPPING. She was definitely a classy dresser and took pride in her appearance. She is preceded in death by her Maternal Grandmother - Ellen McHenry, Paternal Grandmother - Katie Tucker, Father - Benjamin F. Martin, Brothers - Louis Galvin, Jr. and Larry Galvin, Great Niece - Lakeitha Galvin and Great Nephew - Jonathan Galvin, Jr. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her mother - Clemard Jean Galvin; father - Louis Galvin, Sr.; husband of 22 years Odell Fitzpatrick, one daughter - Tonja Flukers-Jones (Kenneth) of Eunice, Louisiana; four sisters - Verna Galvin, Ellen Blanton - both of Houston, Texas, Veronica Thomas (Winfred) of Norfolk, Virginia, and Barbara Chandler (Avery) of Flint, Michigan, nine brothers - Marvin Galvin, Dennis Galvin, Donnie Wayne Galvin, Frankie Galvin and Byron Galvin - all of Houston, Texas, Reverend Lawrence Martin (Barbara) of Monroe, Louisiana, Reverend Benjamin J. Martin (Sandra) of Minden, Louisiana, Reverend Kenneth Martin (Iris) of Augusta, Georgia; one great aunt - Etta Singleton of Kodiak, Arkansas; one brother-in-law - McKinley Fitzpatrick, Sr. (Louise); two step daughters - Omeika Davis (James) of Austin, Texas and Orkesha Walker (Kae) of Baytown, Texas; one stepson - Shannon Fitzpatrick of Baytown, Texas, five grandchildren - James Davis, Jr., Julianna Davis, Jackson Davis, Darius Fitzpatrick and Olivia Fitzpatrick; a host of nieces and nephews and cherished family members. Nadine was a warm loving soul who loved the LORD, life, family and friends. So let us come together today to celebrate and praise the LORD for the life of our beloved Nadine.
