At the tender age of 16, Nellie eloped with the love of her life, Antonio B. Cervantes, and they were married on May 17, 1957. Their enduring love spanned an incredible 67 years.
Together, Tony and Nellie built a large and loving family. They were blessed with ten children, four of whom—Rosemary, Dora, Ralph, and Gloria—preceded Nellie in passing. She is survived by her children Janie, Lydia, Nancy, Pedro, Teresa, and Antonio Jr.
Nellie’s legacy lives on through her 30 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-great-grandchildren. Her life was a testament to love, devotion, and family, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Nellie was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. A loving and selfless woman, she devoted her life to raising her children and nurturing her family. As a stay-at-home mother, she found joy in spending time with her children and creating cherished memories through family activities and simple moments of togetherness.
A devoted Christian, Nellie’s faith was a constant presence in her life. She often spoke about God with warmth and conviction, and her gentle, beautiful spirit touched everyone she met. Her kindness, grace, and unwavering love were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Our mother was truly the rock of our family—the foundation of our strength and unity. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love and legacy will live on in our hearts forever.
