Neva Jean Hilton, age 83, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Born in Jacksonville, Texas, she retired from the Houston Police Department after 25 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, George Earl Hilton; daughter, Deborah Frances Bleise; and her parents, Wiley and Gracie McNaughten. Survived by daughter, Vedra Diane Dorris and husband Gary of Huntsville, Texas; grandchildren, Shannon Black and husband James of Kosse, Texas, Tommy Bridges of Cypress, Texas, and Brandon Dorris and wife Nicole of Huntsville, Texas; great grandchildren, Morgan, Julia, Meghan, Josh and Jacob Black of Kosse, Texas, and Gage and Cash Dorris of Huntsville, Texas; brothers, Billy J. McNaughten and wife Lee of Fort Worth, Texas, and W.G. McNaughten of Lufkin, Texas; and sister, Pat Lawson of Wichita, Kansas; niece, Brenda Jean McNaughten; great niece, Bryah McNaughten; and other relatives and friends. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday, October 30, 2014 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
