Nora was preceded in death by her loving husband Joe Irwin. She is survived by her sons Joseph and wife Ginny and Michael and wife Natalie; grandchildren: Stephanie Halpert and husband Matt and Melanie Ridlen and husband Mark; and great-grandchildren: Audrey and Claire.
Nora was a loving wife, mother as well as a great influence and mentor to her grandchildren and friend to her great-grandchildren. She received her college degree from the University of Oklahoma and master's degree from West Texas State. She touched many lives as a respected school teacher in Amarillo and at Spring Forest Middle School in the Spring Branch School District in Houston for many years.
Family and friends gathered to celebrate this wonderful woman's life, at a memorial service in the chapel of Tallowood Baptist Church, 555 Tallowood in Houston, on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Dr. Larry Bertrand officiated.
