Norma Jean Lehmann Powell

Norma was born on Saturday, March 3, 1951 in La Grange Texas. As a child, she moved to Houston, where she would eventually attend Cy-Fair High School and graduate in 1970.

Norma was a very active and involved member of St. John United Church of Christ, as well as the Houston Obedience Training (HOT) Dog Club.

Norma is survived by her three sons, a niece, nephew and three dogs.

The family will receive friends at a visitation on Tuesday, July 17th from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Norma's life at a funeral service being conducted by Reverend Ms. Teddy Hardy, on Wednesday, July 18th at 1:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of St. John United Church of Christ, 4606 Mangum Road in Houston, Texas 77092. Committal services and interment will follow in the church cemetery.
