Ms. Octavia Jean Simpson was born April 18, 1948 to Mr. Haywood Simpson and Mrs. Bernice W. Simpson in Abilene, Texas. She confessed Christ at an early age at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. She sang in the choir. She attended public schools in Aldine School District. She also attended driving school. Ms. Octavia Jean united in holy matrimony with Mr. Kenneth Andrews. To this union there were four children: son, Darrell; three daughters, Phyllis, Monica Andrews and Bonita (Thompson) Andrews. Octavia Jean Andrews was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sister. She leaves to cherish her memory, one son and three daughters, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, two sisters, Christen Simpson Nealey and Bernice Marie (Simpson) Wooten and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
