Omega Reyes Gamboa

Omega was born to Angel and Rita Reyes on October 17, 1932 in Galveston, Texas. She graduated from Ball High School. She married Ernesto Delgado Gamboa in 1954 and they lived together in Houston, Texas. Together they raised 3 children.

She is survived by: Ernest David Gamboa, Rita Gamboa Soto (Natividad C. Soto), Armando Gamboa. She also leaves to cherish her memory her sister Esther Mancillas, grandchildren Natividad G. Soto, Miriam Elizabeth Martinez (Manuel Martinez), Naomi N. Wright (William Wright), great grandchildren Isaac S. Soto, Micah K. Leo's, Manuel J. and Samuel A. Martinez, and Lucia M. Wright.

She was preceded in death by Ernesto D. Gamboa (spouse), Angel and Rita Reyes (parents), Amparo R. Rodriguez (sister), Janie R. Martinez (sister).

Omega worked as a nursing assistant for Texas Children's Hospital as well as a pre-school teacher for El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing as well as caring for her grandchildren after school. During her life she was actively involved in the United Methodist Women.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 28, 2022 at 10:00 am at Forest Park Lawndale 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, TX 77023.

Rev. Michelle Manuel of St. Luke's United Methodist Church will officiate a chapel service at 1:00 pm and a graveside service at 2:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home and Cemetery.

A reception will follow at Holland Hall located inside Forest Park Lawndale funeral home from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
