Sorry for your loss.  I met Omer at many races around Texas and even once  in Calgary, Canada.  

As I waited to begin the Calgary Marathon in the crowded start area I looked around and the tallest person in the whole race got my attention, Omer.  I went over to him and we talked about how far we were from Texas to meet in this place.

He was always great to talk and joke with before, during and after a race.  I will miss him and he will be missed by many runners.

I believe all the Texas usual running suspects will remember him as a kind gentle giant.

Dearest Amy, Matt, and Family-

Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve the loss of your beloved father.  His  love for and  pride in you was so evident in his smile and eyes in the years of photos of great memories with him.
