Mrs.Onie Faye Smith age 95 of Houston, TX went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 19, 2011. Mrs. Smith was born September 30, 1916 in Hemphill, Texas, the daughter of John Thomas Miller and Mary Evelyn Murphy. She lived in Crockett, TX for several years, she has lived in Houston, Texas for the past 69 years. Survivors include daughter Alice Macdonald and husband Paul of Huntsville, Texas, Son Curtis Gale Smith and wife Charlotte of Conroe, Texas, daughter Cynthia Ann Smith of Houston, close family friend Mary Wagner. Brother Curtis Miller, Odessa, Texas. 5 Grandchildren, 10 Great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband Curtis Clayton Smith, son Charles Ray Smith, Brothers Bill, Lester, J.T. and Lonnie B. Sisters Matt Crowson and twin Ona Morrow. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Chruch. Funeral Services Earthman Resthaven December 21, 7pm. Visitation 5 - 8 pm. Pastor Michael James officiating.
