Mrs. Patricia Ann (Winchester) Clark

Patricia Ann Clark, 85, of Fresno, Texas, passed away on September 3, 2026, in Houston, Texas, just four days before her 86th birthday. Patricia was born on September 7, 1940, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Lawrence Winchester and Lydia Wolfe Winchester. She grew up alongside her brothers, Lawrence “Trevor” Winchester, Barry Winchester, and Keith Winchester. The faith, traditions, and love of family that surrounded Patricia during her New Orleans upbringing remained central to her throughout her life.

Patricia attended Holy Ghost Catholic School from first through eighth grade and later attended Xavier Prep High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Winchester family were active members of Holy Cross Catholic Church in New Orleans. Patricia met the love of her life, Paul Edward Clark, while double dating at Paul’s high school prom. Their meeting marked the beginning of a beautiful life together. Paul and Patricia united in marriage on August 8, 1964, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in New Orleans. Following their marriage, Patricia and Paul moved to Los Angeles, California, where they raised their three sons: Brian Gerard Clark, Bruce Joseph Clark, and Brad Matthew Clark.

Patricia devoted much of her life to being a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She also worked professionally as a Veratype Operator for Northrop Grumman, supporting the highly classified B-2 bomber program. Her role reflected her intelligence, precision, discretion, and dedication.

Throughout her life, Patricia remained deeply committed to her Catholic faith and passionately believed in the power of prayer. While living in Los Angeles, she was a member of St. Eugene’s Catholic Church, where she also served as a member of the Altar Society. She later worshipped at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church in McDonough, Georgia, and Holy Family Catholic Church in Stafford, Texas.

Family was at the center of Patricia’s life. She deeply loved her husband, her three sons Brian, Bruce, and Brad Clark, and her grandchildren, Amil Clark and Evan Clark daughter and son of Bruce Clark. As a wife, mother, and Nana, she demonstrated her love through her prayers, sacrifices, encouragement, and constant devotion to her family. Patricia was an exceptional cook who learned the art of preparing authentic New Orleans cuisine from her mother, Lydia. She continued that tradition with her own family, creating meals that brought everyone together. Patricia rarely needed measuring cups or written recipes, she simply knew what was needed. Her cooking was an expression of her heritage, her family traditions, and her love.

Patricia also loved music and dancing. From her New Orleans and Mardi Gras roots, to dancing with her husband, to line dancing with her senior group, dancing was one of her greatest joys. She also enjoyed visiting casinos and playing the slot machines with family and friends. Whether she won or lost, she treasured the outing, the excitement, and the fellowship.

Patricia is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Winchester; her mother, Lydia Wolfe Winchester; and her brothers, Lawrence “Trevor” Winchester, Barry Winchester, and Keith Winchester. She leaves to cherish her memory of her loving husband, Paul Edward Clark; her sons, Brian Gerard Clark (Shirley), Bruce Joseph Clark (Erika), and Brad Matthew Clark; her grandchildren, Amil Clark and Evan Clark; and a host of extended family members, church family, and dear friends.

Patricia’s life was a blessing, her memory is a treasure, and her love will remain in the hearts of her family forever. She will be remembered for her strong faith, devotion to family, wonderful cooking, joyful spirit, love of dancing, and unwavering belief in the power of prayer. May Patricia Ann Clark rest peacefully in the loving arms of God—and when the music begins in Heaven, may she be ready to dance.
