Patricia was born on July 25, 1937, in Pensacola, FL. She grew up in Corpus Christi, TX where she attended W. B. Ray High School with her dear friend Carole Ann Plough. She moved to Houston in 1984 and worked at Baylor College of Medicine until her retirement in 2000. She was an avid reader and loved to play mahjong and Farmtown with her online friends.
Patricia is predeceased by her parents Leroy and Betty Chappell, and sister Barbara Monsey. She is survived by her sister Joan Moon of Redding, CA, her son Gary Greenwood, of Corpus Christi, TX and her daughter Jeanne and husband Don Franck, of Houston, TX.
