She was born on September 1, 1935, in Donaldsonville, Louisiana to Herman J. and Ruth Naquin. In her youth, she worked as a dental receptionist and at a feed store. She graduated from Lutcher High School where she met the love of her life, Roy Dicharry. They were married on June 9, 1956, and were blessed with six children. She spent her entire life raising, loving, and nurturing all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was always a valued source of love, inspiration and guidance to her family. She stayed true to her faith in God and Catholicism throughout her life, attending mass at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Sugar Land, TX when she was able to, or the services held at her community.
Her passions were reading, arts & crafts, puzzles, playing bingo, dominoes, board games, and watching her LSU Tigers and Houston Astros, but most of all, spending time with her family.
She volunteered as an Ambassador for incoming residents at her Landon Ridge community and encouraged others to get involved in the activities there. She had many dear friends at the community, and the staff absolutely adored her. She was frequently named Resident of the Month due to her engaging personality and participation in activities.
She lived life to the fullest while loving and caring for every person in her life. She knew no strangers, engaging with people and sharing her big, beautiful smile and sense of humor with everyone around her.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law; Roy, Jr. & Paula Dicharry of Colorado, Kevin & Rose Dicharry of Texas, and Daryl & Jan Dicharry of Texas; daughters Cheryl Chudleigh of Texas, Debbie Dicharry & her loving partner Lisa Wright of Texas and Tricia Dicharry-Brooks of Texas; Grandchildren; Roy, Nichole, Natalie, Kellie, Ashley, Austin, Danny, Robert, Lauren, Amber and Great-Grandchildren; Finn, Hudson, Theodore, Aubrey, Hunter, Noah, Kaylee, Korben, Kira, Kaison, Jayden & Alyssa.
