Patricia Gayle (Morgan) Eversole passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on July 16, 2017, after a long struggle with cancer. Pat was born on August 5, 1943 in Dallas, Texas, to Arthur Monroe Morgan Sr. and Mary Francis (Neely) Morgan.
Pat attended Sam Houston State University where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and met her college sweetheart and future husband Gerald “Jerry” Eversole. After retiring, Pat volunteered at the Star of Hope Mission and fully enjoyed her role as “Nana” to her grandsons.
Pat was a devoted and much beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Pat’s greatest joys included reading, gardening, family beach trips, annual reunions with her sorority sisters and hosting holiday gatherings. Pat truly had a gift for making others feel special and her beautiful smile could light up a room. Her pleasant nature and positive attitude lifted the spirits of those around here. She touched many hearts and will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
Pat was preceded in death by her grandparents Allie and Tallie Neely; parents; brother Arthur Monroe Morgan Jr. of Terrell; and brother-in-law Neil Mask of Houston.
