Patricia Elaine McDaniel, our beloved mother and “Grammie” has gained her angel wings. Pat is now reunited with her husband, Clint McDaniel (Buddy), and her parents “Mimi and Papa”. She left this earth on September 12, 2021, which was “Grandparents Day”, how fitting!
Pat was born in Houston, Texas on January 25, 1939 to Edward and Evelyn Johnson. She is survived by her 3 children, Mark McDaniel and wife Tricia, Lisa Walker and husband John, Laurie Garza and husband Carlos. Along with 12 grandchildren (Amanda, Kellie, Joshua, Brittney, Katie, Shelby, Megan, Priscilla, Marcus, Lauren, Gabriel and Micah) and 15 great grandchildren, Sister Karen Wilkie and niece Michele Wilkie.
Pat was a blessing and a joy to her family and friends. She was an active member at her church, Zion Lutheran in Pasadena, where they were members since the early 1970’s. She was a member of various organizations including: Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Zion Evening Association for Ladies, a quilting group, and was also active in several Bible Study Groups within the church. The annual ladies retreat with her friends and daughters was something she looked forward to each year. Mom loved spending time with her growing family, was a great cook, loved her plants and shopping! She was a collector of so many things and loved her antiques. Her children attribute their spiritual values to having that Christian upbringing that their mom and dad instilled in them. Patricia was a housewife in her early years and later retired from Quintana Petroleum, where she worked in the Accounting Department for over 25 years.
Heaven has gained another precious angel. We will hold you forever in our hearts!
Visitation will be held with the family on Tuesday, September 21 from 10AM – 12PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. The Celebration of Pat’s life will follow at 12PM in the Main Chapel with graveside services to follow.
