

Patricia Clara Lockerman Mitchell, beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on February 22, 1931, in Houston, Texas, she lived a long, vibrant life rooted in family, service, and creativity.
Patricia grew up in San Francisco, California and attended Commerce Republic of California, where she graduated in June of 1950. At just 19, she received a Bronze Volunteer Service Pin recognized for her contributions. She later pursued her education at San Jacinto College in La Porte, where she studied Office Procedures and Computer Skills.
Throughout her life, Patricia held many jobs that showcased her determination and adaptability. Her first job was at a bowling alley, manually setting up pins—a testament to her strong work ethic. She later became a switchboard operator and eventually held a position as a Data Control Clerk at NASA's Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center. In her later years, she ran her own business, “Pat’s Arts and Crafts,” at the Capitan Flea Market, combining her entrepreneurial spirit with her love of creativity.
Patricia was also a dedicated artist and teacher. She was active with Beulah's Ceramics, earning several teaching certificates and leading numerous art classes. She found joy in painting, crafting, and sharing her passion with others. Outside of art, she enjoyed tennis and swimming, always maintaining an active lifestyle.
Patricia moved to Pasadena, Texas where she was a long time member of South Main Baptist Church, where her faith and sense of community flourished. Patricia also proudly served as a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary for over 51 years.
Patricia was predeceased by her father, William Monicall; mother, Arriel Stegal; daughters Deborah Louise Bush, Barbara Marie Johnson, and Glenna Carol Thomas; her first husband, Glenn Curtis Dickert; second husband, Donald S. Mitchell; her sister, Barbara Jean Willis; brother, Kenneth Lockerman; nieces Diana Lynn Kimbro and Sheryl Ann Payne; and son-in-law, Richard Langseth.
She is lovingly survived by her brother Waitus Joseph Lockerman and sister Dixie Elder; daughter Dreka Renee Carr and son-in-law Charles Franklin Carr; as well as Robin Langseth, Austin Maddox, Marchus Cleveland, Autum and Daniel Matt and their children Reese, Ryann and Dallas. And many beloved nieces and nephews: Patsy Ann Stone, William Dosiy Ellingburg Jr., Grandkids: John Thomas, Nathan James Hale, and Sara Pemberton. Great nephew and niece: Angelica Foster, Douglas Lockerman Jr.
Patricia leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, faith, and creativity. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and remembered for her remarkable life, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
