Patsy Jean Westergren

Patsy Jean Westergren, 86, died March 14, 2015, on the 68th anniversary of her marriage to Doyle E. Westergren, just two years after his death. Pat and Doyle loved traveling, dancing, playing bridge and entertaining friends. Her indomitable spirit brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. She had a passion for life and loved to sing. Born September 5, 1928 in La Porte, Pat was a true friend with a generous heart. She always had time for family and friends. Her unique style will be missed terribly. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle E. Westergren, parents Bess and Edmond Connally, sister Bettye Freiberger, brother Mike Connally and grandson Christopher Gerald Crofoot. Survivors include sister Joy Dejongh; brother Bill Connally and wife Kim; daughter Debbye Crofoot-Morley and husband Bill; son Michael Westergren and wife Irene; daughter Angie Carl and husband David. Grandchildren include Kevin Crofoot and wife Lisa, Philip Westergren, Greg Westergren and Amy Westergren; great-grandsons Christopher Spencer and Conner Crofoot. Pallbearers include Bill Connally, Mark Connally, Kevin Crofoot, Tom Crofoot, Bill Freiberger, Kurt Freiberger, Gordon Westergren and Greg Westergren. Visitation on March 19th, 5-8 pm, Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, TX 77023. Friday, March 20, final respects at 10:30 am, funeral at11:00 am and interment following, Forest Park Lawndale Chapel of Angels.
