Patti S. Roberts

Patti S. Roberts, 66, of Cypress, Texas, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024. She was born in Elgin, IL on January 26, 1958. She was the daughter of Jay F Barnett and Maryan Grenlin Barnett. She attended Central High School in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work. She attended graduate school at the University of Houston to earn her Master of Social Work with academic honors. She achieved other professional certifications needed to pursue her career as a licensed social worker in Texas. She deeply valued her role to provide various types of counseling as her chosen career.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cypress, Texas. Patti also had a passion for several local sports teams and animals. She is greatly missed by her family, friends, and her two special dogs, Rocky and Pokey.

She is survived by her husband, Philip; her mother, Maryan Barnett; brothers Jeffery Barnett and Thomas Barnett and a sister, Lisa Bayko. She is also survived by nephews, Taylor, and Devin; and also a niece, Niki.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jay F Barnett, and a niece, Tessa Marie Barnett.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cypress for Sisters in Service.

A visitation for Patti will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.

A funeral service led by Pastor David Cecil will occur Friday, August 30, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.

A committal service will occur Friday, August 30, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
