He is preceded in death by his parents, Silas Gordon Johnston & Mary Louise Johnston; siblings, Betty Jones, Patsy Whisennand & Sonny Johnston.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Faye Johnston; children, Paula Johnston Harvey and husband Keith, Gordon Herbert Johnston and wife Glenda; brother, David Crockett Johnston; granddaughter, Miranda Judith Johnston; numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.
Visitation will begin at 9am follwed by a funeral service at 11am on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.
