Paul Vincent Ryan II

Paul V. Ryan, II, 62, a native Houstonian and resident of La Porte, passed away peacefully in hospice care after a short illness, on Monday morning, March 20, 2017. Paul was known by many as the owner of 2nd Husband Construction Co. and worked for many residents in the Shoreacres and La Porte area. He was generous in assisting those who were in need of a hand-up and not a hand-out. His favorite pastimes were watching football, being in or on the water in a boat, fishing and enjoying the Galveston Bay/Clear Lake area and being with family and friends whenever he could. His love of the water was obvious at an early age, mastering swimming, skiing, surfing and sailing. His outgoing and friendly nature made him fast friends wherever he went. Paul is survived by his parents: Ret. Col. Paul V. Ryan and Peggy Hebert Ryan. His siblings: Pati Ryan Gibson and her husband Bill Gibson; Bill Ryan and his wife Sandy Ryan; Sharon Ryan Anderson and her husband Richard Anderson; and Kevin Ryan and his wife Tracy Ryan. His daughter: Amber Allen and her husband Joshua Allen, and Paul's 3 grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 nieces and 4 nephews, and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who miss him dearly. A memorial service for Paul will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017, 1:00 PM, at: Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Ave., Houston, TX 77023
