She was born one of ten children on February 16, 1929 to Arthur and Minnie Pedraza.
Preceded in death by parents, brothers Arthur Pedraza Jr, Charlie Bosque, Joe Pedraza, John Pedraza, Rudy Pedraza
and sister Nan Bettis. Surviving siblings include Louis Pedraza, Rosie Goldman and Marie Koonse.
Pearl was a lovely, caring, generous person to all who knew her.
In her youth, she was a heck of a ballplayer, captain of the girls softball team and spoke of picking her own team mates.
Pearl worked 15+ years for independent insurance underwriters and was a real asset as she was also bi-lingual. She really loved her work.
Pearl married Edwin Bilski and had had three sons, Gregory, Edwin Jr and Richard. She divorced and married Lorrand Simmons who battled and died of cancer.
She lastly married Arthur Burks and moved to Victoria, TX to join him in his bookkeeping business. After 16 years of marriage, Arthur suffered a stroke, died and
Pearl relocated back to Houston, TX and lived with her son Edwin Jr and wife Beverly for nearly five years before entering Village on the Park Memory Care Facility
suffering from Alzheimers. She contracted COVID or Omicron right after Christmas and that proved to be too much for her body to overcome.
During her lifetime, Pearl loved to get together and cook for family and friends. She was a very good cook and shared generously with everyone.
Pearl adored her only grandchild, Claire Bilski, daughter of Richard and Cynthia Bilski. She also enjoyed her numerous nieces and nephews.
Pearl always trusted in The Lord Jesus Christ to guide her life and always spoke of her longevity as a Blessing.
