Penny Garcia Alvarado departed from this world with her children by her side on the evening of August 11th, 2024 in Houston, Texas. Penny was born on August 25th, 1960 in Houston, Texas. She loved being around her family and had such a fighting spirit that strengthened her will to persevere through all she endured. She is survived by her children Jose Antonio Jr., Pete and Lorelle Alvarado: her grandson Henry Alvarado: Her brother and sisters: Sandra Rangel, Diane Hernandez, Pete Garcia Jr., Marilyn Soto, and Margaret Garcia. She will be remembered by her many friends and loved ones as a caring, affectionate, and inspiring mother.
A visitation for Penny will be held Monday, August 19, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal service will occur Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023.
