Petra T. Flores was born April 26, 1926 in Lockhart, Texas. She was raised in Houston and in New Gulf, Texas. Mom passed away peacefully at home, early Wednesday morning, January 16, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband Fernando C. Flores, her parents, Maria Nestora and Victorio Torres, Brothers Juan and Andrew Torres, Sister Micaela Rincon, and grandchildren Norman Lew II and Orlando Flores. She is survived by her son Fernando Flores Jr (Yolanda Flores) and daughters Maria Nestora Partida (Louis) and Manuela F. Martinez (Lawrence), Margarita Flores-Dimas (Marc); 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Virginia Delgado and Lucy Luera and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, January 18, 2013 5:00-9:00pm, with a rosary beginning at 7:00pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 19, 2013 followed by interment in the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
