Petra G. Valdez (78) passed away October 26, 2015 in Houston, Texas. She was born on January 2, 1937 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Jose and Eufracia Cruz. Petra was very caring with a heart for people. She enjoyed devoting most of her time to her family. She also enjoyed baking during the holidays. Petra is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Eufracia Cruz and two brothers: Joe Cruz and Clemente Cruz. Petra leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband of 52 years, Raul Valdez, one daughter, Lucy Moreno and her husband Paul Moreno, four grandchildren: Israel Moreno, Teresa Rodriguez-Smith, Vincent Moreno, and Victor Moreno, one sister, Alejandra Villarreal, and one brother, Jesse Cruz. Also left to cherish her memories are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, make donations in memory of Petra Valdez to The American Cancer Society
