Porfirio Almendarez

Porfirio is survived by his spouse, Emilia D. Almendarez; his son Israel E. Almendarez; his sister Soila A. Del Bosque.

Porfirio was preceded in death by his father Mariano Almendarez and his mother Refugia Almendarez; his brother Max M. Almendarez; his brother Lupe Almendarez; his brother Benito Almendarez; his brother Carlos Almendarez; his brother Aurelio Almendarez; his brother Martin Almendarez; his sister Ida Del Bosque and his sister Dora Gonzalez.

Porfirio served in the US Army during WWII . While enlisted he was a member of the Anti Aircraft Artillery Weapons Battalion and a sharp shooter . He received the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon , Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal .Porfirio was also proud of his time as a Mason and as a member of the Arabia Shriners . He also loved the Houston Astros .

A visitation for Porfirio will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A rosary will occur Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A burial will occur Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
