Porfirio Beltran, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. He was born on May 5, 1929 in Houston, TX to the parents of Jesus Beltran and Conrada Toledo Beltran. He had two brothers, John Beltran (deceased); and Odilion Beltran (deceased), who he loved and admired very much.
Everyone who knew Porfirio addressed him by his childhood nickname, Mr. Perfect Beltran. Perfect was employed by the Port of Houston Authority and retired after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed travel, sports, super hero movies, casinos, and outdoor bar-b-ques with family and friends. Perfect was especially fond of beautiful beaches and expressed his best memories from Cabo San Lucas, Isla del las Mujeres, Bahamas, and South Padre Island.
Perfect was married to the love of his life, Mary Teresa Beltran (deceased) for over 40 years. Together, Perfect and Mary had 7 children. Their first born daughter, Terry Beltran is deceased. He is survived by his son, Alec Beltran and daughter in-law Debbie Beltran; daughter, Diane Beltran Gutierrez and son-in-law Joe Gutierrez; daughter, Joyce Marie Beltran; son, Adam Beltran; son, Andrew Beltran and daughter-in-law, Susan Beltran; and daughter Eva Beltran. Perfect had 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. On March 4, the family will receive friends from 5-9 PM with a rosary beginning at 7 PM. On March 5, the funeral services are scheduled from 1 – 2 pm, and gravesite from 2 – 3 pm.
