Dear Cousins,

Ken and I are very sorry for the loss of your sweet daddy. It's hard to believe that Daddy's little brother has passed. We have so many fond memories of your Mom and Dad and of course that infamous Easter Sunday Morning Breakfast. Ken said one of his regrets is that he didn't insist that Uncle Ralph come up here to Colorado and go hunting with him. He will be greatly missed.
I wish we could be there with all of you but we are there in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Ken, Dianne Amy and Family.

Bob and I have been thinking about each of you and we both send our heartfelt condolences.  What a long life Uncle Ralph had - and he enjoyed the majority of his years.  And he and your mom were a pretty amazing love story...despite their 'moments'.  We all have moments!

One of my fondest memories (I have many!l) was the day of Aunt Mary's funeral...an exremely cold and blustery day in Sandusky.  We all know Ralph LOVED that weather.  So I stayed behind at the church with him while much of the family went to the cemetary...and it was then that I had one of my most cherished moments with your dad.  He pulled out his wallet and showed me a couple of tattered and aged pieces of paper that he told me he had carried with him for years.  One was a cheat sheet of the proper winning hands for a game of cards.  He told me if there was ever any question about who won or who did not...fairly and squarely he would always know who truly had the winning hand.  

And the other was a list of everything about your mom...her clothing sizes, special dates, favoriite things.  He was never going to get her the wrong thing, forget an important date.  I have to smiile when I think about that day and passing the time with him while we waited for everyone else to return.

And I have a feeling he and my dad are no longer battling over having control of the remote for the TV...as both of them denied ever doing!

All is well for those who have gone before us....some amazing angels are looking over us all.
