Rayburn Meadors, age 86, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Born in Franklin, Texas, he loved horses, gardening, hunting, fishing, and was with Sears as a mechanic for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Berl and Annie Mae Moore Meadors; brothers, Otis, Floyd and Bernest Meadors; and sisters, Verna “Dooley” Franks, and Veda Flanagan. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Robbie E. Meadors; sons, Steve Meadors and wife Pat of Houston, Texas, Carlton and Roger Meadors of Montgomery, Texas; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and brothers, J.C. Meadors of Webster, Texas and Weldon Meadors of Houston, Texas. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2014 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2014 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
