Raymond C. Barragan, age 81, passed away on October 28, 2014 in Houston, TX. He was born on April 18, 1933 in Galveston, TX to Mario and Elvera Barragan. He was a career longshoreman, paint and body technician, and business owner, who had a passion for Cowboy Movies. Raymond, or “R.C” as some knew him, was an incredibly generous man, who was always there to help a friend in need. Family and friends smile at the thought that he is now up in Heaven spending time with “The Duke”. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his five children, Raymond Jr., Belinda, Eugene, Steven, and Roman; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Raymond is also survived by his ex wife Beatrice Barragan who vowed to care for him till death, and she fulfilled her promise. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 31, from 5pm to 9pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A rosary service is set to begin at 7pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 9217 E Avenue L, Houston, TX. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
