Raymond Carroll Liedtke, age 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2020. He was born in Paducah, Texas on October 6, 1928 to Robert Sydney Liedtke and Olivia Bell Liedtke. He graduated from Reagan High School in Houston, Texas. Raymond served in the Korean War as a Seaman First Class in the Navy from August 28, 1950 to June 1, 1954. Raymond married his sweetheart, Patsy Ruth Amason, on March 14, 1953. More than anything, Raymond loved his family and he loved riding horses. He rode for many years as a member of the Texas Range Riders.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents as well as all his brothers and sisters. Raymond is survived by his wife, Patsy Liedtke, his daughter Cheryl McDonald and husband Larry, his son Scott Liedtke and wife Cyndi, his granddaughter Bailey Johnson and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A visitation has been set for Wednesday, March 4th at 11:30a at Heights Funeral Home at 1317 Heights Blvd. Houston, Texas 77008, followed by a funeral service at 1pm, also at Heights Funeral Home and internment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery at 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060.
