Rebeca Guerrero Castillo

Rebeca was born to Jose Guadalupe Guerrero and Elisa Trevino, October 17, 1931, in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She married Roberto Castillo on February 27, 1949, and they lived together in Monterrey, Mexico and Houston, Texas. Together they raised five children.

She is survived by: Her husband, Roberto Castillo, her children, Maria Elena Cerda (Julian Cerda), Roberto Castillo Jr. (Lilia Castillo) and her daughters-in-law Dora Castillo and Sara Castillo. She leaves grandchildren: Susana Sipes (Steve Sipes), Rebeca Cerda (Christopher Perez), Julian Cerda (Nancy Cerda), Roberto Castillo III (Silvia Castillo), Mark Castillo (Mercedes Castillo), Raquel Garcia (Brian Garcia), Liliana Gutierrez (John Gutierrez), Christie Aleman (John Aleman), Veronica Webb (James Webb), Ricardo A. Castillo, Jose Guadalupe Castillo and Elisa Castillo. She also leaves to cherish her memory her sisters, Angelica Rocha, Guillermina Garza and Ludivina Rocha, her brother, Heriberto Guerrero, her nephew, Ruben Trevino (Naty Trevino) and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Rosalinda Castillo (daughter), Jose Guadalupe Guerrero (father), Elisa Trevino, (mother), Jose Guadalupe Castillo (son), Ricardo Castillo (son), Rodrigo Guerrero (brother) and Clementina Lopez (sister).

She enjoyed shopping, gardening, going on vacation, and spending time with her friends and family including her 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 5-9 PM with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A Celebration of Her Life will be on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Grand Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
