Rebeca Garcia

Rebeca was a dedicated employee with Spring Branch Independent School District for 25 years before retiring. Rebeca was a selfless woman with a strong devotion to God and family. She was long time parishioner of All Saints Catholic Church and committed to praying the rosary daily.

Rebeca enjoyed sewing, gardening, daily walks and exercising using the Jack LaLanne fitness program. Rebeca liked sweets and enjoyed baking cakes. She never forgot birthdays baking homemade cakes and singing Happy Birthday in celebration. Rebeca enjoyed going to movies and listening to music.

Rebeca Garcia is preceded in death by her parents Lino and Candida Benavides and three brothers: Beto Benavides, Jose Benavides, Ramiro Benavides and three sisters: Celina Castillo, Hilaria Rosas, and Bertha Benavides. Rebeca is survived by her three children: Rachel Ramirez, Yolanda Lopez (Martin), Alfredo “AJ” Garcia Jr.; her beloved grandchildren, Luis Ramirez, Rebecca Berry (Chris) and Gina Marie Windsor (Chad), Kristina Ramirez, Kristopher Ramirez, Alfredo Garcia III, Andrew “AJ” Garcia; her great-grandchildren: Melodee Franklin, Brooklyn Windsor, Victoria Windsor, Jackson Ramirez and Reese Ramirez; as well as her comforting fur-babies Lola and Hannah Berry. Rebeca is also survived by two loving sisters: Esther Pena, Aurora Dorsett and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held at Pat H. Foley & Company, located on 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, Texas, on August 14, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am. A Reception will follow from 12:15 pm to 2:15 pm.
