1928-2014
On December 4th, 2014, Rebecca Castillo went home to be united with her Savior, beloved parents, brother and grandson Jesse Chabolla.
Rebecca was born in Houston, Texas on March 25th, 1928. She was one of four children born to Antonio and Salome Gonzales. She was baptized in the Catholic Church. Rebecca graduated from Jeff Davis High School in Houston and wasted no time putting her excellent grammar, math, typing, and shorthand skills to work as a Manager at a downtown financial firm.
Rebecca met her husband Frank Castillo Sr. thanks to a puppy dog. He romanced Rebecca the way any Navy Sailor would and they married in 1946.
Rebecca was an advocate to those individuals looking to come to the United States to provide a better life for their families. She was one to help those attain a higher education. Rebecca refused to pay full price for anything and always found a deal. She would light up a room not only from her personality but from the diamonds that could always be expected to be on her fingers. Though she was tiny, she was full of life and knew every sports statistic known to man, that it would put Bill Worrell to shame.
Rebecca was preceded in death by parents, and two brothers, Roy and Gilbert Gonzales, and grandson, Jesse Chabolla. Rebecca leaves her many memories to be shared by her loving husband Frank Castillo Sr., sister Guadalupe Guzman (Louis), children Gloria Chabolla and Frank Castillo Jr., grandchildren Jessica Vasquez (Raymond), James Chabolla, Theresa Garcia (Gilbert), Gloria Marie Casimir (Bill), Kris Smith (William), Frank Castillo III, Karlos Castillo.
Great grandchildren include Lauren Vasquez, Gregory Chabolla, Dominic Vasquez, Michael Chabolla, Jerica Casimir, Ashlynn Casimir, Karlee Castillo.
