Rena Lumpkin

Through God's Infinite wisdom and tender mercy, He bestowed a special blessing upon the union of Leroy and Eva Chambers on March 9th, 1962 in Houston, Texas. They named their special blessing Rena.Rena was educated in the Houston Independent School District. She later completed her education at the Houston Community College where she received her certificate in Cosmotology.Rena was taught to obey and have reverence for Christ Jesus at an early age. Later in life she would unite with the Northow Temple Church of Christ under the leadership of Bro. Swindell.Rena met and married Lininell Lumpkin on May 15, 2008.On August 23, 2016, she was called home for her eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Chambers and grandmother, Josephine Reece. She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Sis. Eva Eldridge, two brothers, Michael Chambers and Clifton Lewis; two sisters, Shalonda Chambers and Brenda Chambers, all of Houston, Texas; a dear aunt, Carolyn R. Jones of Havelock; and Carolyn Young; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephew, and friends
