Retha Cochran May

Retha L. May, 90, of Bryan, Texas passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012. Retha was born on June 6, 1922 in Isola, Mississippi to LuElla and Charlie Cochran. She was united in marriage to Clarence Lee May on July 1, 1939. She was a member of The Parkway Baptist Church. Retha moved from Houston to Bryan in 1992. She enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles, card games, and cooking for all her family members on Christmas and Thanksgiving. Retha was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-four years; her first-born son, Doyle May, and son, Justin May. She is survived by three daughters and three son-in-laws; Betty and Manuel Schulze of Livingston, Tx, Gail and Ronnie Smith of Trinity, Tx, and Sandy and Rufus Martinez of Bryan, Tx; ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Heights Funeral Home Chapel, 1317 Heights Blvd in Houston, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 12:45 p.m. in the Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, Texas.

Mother, we miss you so much. We thank you for being our mother. You will always be in our hearts.
