Richard Arlynn Earnest was born December 29, 1948, and passed away October 2, 2017. He was hit by a drunk driver on January 23, 1986, and never recovered from the severe brain damage caused by the accident. He spent the last thirty years of his life in a nursing home. Richard is survived by his daughter, Karen Pulido and husband Tony, granddaughters, Cailee and Emery; son, Chad Earnest and wife Karen, grandson Gio; sister, Lu Cherry and husband, John; brother Charles Hornick and wife Betty Ann; sister, Jo Ann Earnest; brother, Nick Earnest; sister, Mary Causey and husband Jesse; sister, Peggy Clements and husband Ted and numerous nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his father, Sam Houston Earnest and his mother, Annie Rose Earnest. "Little Annie" loved her son dearly and went to see him each and every day after his accident. He is now in her loving arms! Richard served in the United States Army and served a tour in Vietnam Nam. He received many medals while serving his country.
Richard had a great smile, the swagger of "Cool Hand Luke" and will be tremendously missed!
