Richard Neil Guynn

Richard was born in Sand Springs, Oklahoma on March 10,1942 to Carl Franklin Guynn and Sybil Maxine Jones Guynn.

Richard grew up in Oklahoma and Texas. He graduated from Dangerfield High School in Dangerfield, Texas in 1960. Followed by an honorable service in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964.

Richard was married to Jeanne Marie Dermody on May 21, 1966, at Saint Jude Church in Mastic Beach, New York.

Richard worked hard his entire life, from working in the airline industry for Braniff International Airlines till his retirement as a Marine Fireman for the Houston Port Authority.

Richard had many passions and hobbies for throughout his life. He enjoyed bowling, golf, fishing, and being a general sports fan. His biggest passion, however, was his family.

Richard is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Jeanne. His children Elizabeth Guynn, Richard Guynn and wife Linda, Byron Guynn, and Mary Guynn Robinson and husband JR. His Grandchildren Sarah Guynn, Sean Guynn, and Olivia Robinson. His sister Carla Phillips, brother Danny Guynn and wife Millie as well as many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home located at 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX on Monday May 12,2025 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.

Funeral Services will be held at Assumption Catholic Church, located at 901 Roselane in Houston, TX on Tuesday May 13,2025 at 10:00am followed by interment at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home at 12:00pm.
