He graduated from Waltrip High School in 1967 and attended University of Houston and Navarro Jr. College before serving four years in the Air Force.
Richard had a career in piping and worked for Texas Pipe Bending, Bechtel, Shaw, and retired from Technip as a Project Expeditor. He was a member of Water Board Mud #172. He had a passion for camping, golf, and working out in the pool and gym.
He is survived by his wife Kathryn Wynne; daughters Kristina Baker and husband Doug, Rebecca Wynne and Kimberly Wynne; grandsons Griffin and Grayson Baker; siblings Pat Wynne and Judy Chappell and husband Larry; niece Tracy Chappell, father-in-law Chuck Nittsche and numerous cousins and close friends.
A gathering for Richard will be held Friday, March 6, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Angels at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 6, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with graveside service following.
