Rita Jane Forester

Rita Jane Forester, a beloved and cherished member of the Edna, Texas community, passed away on June 19, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on January 1, 1957, Rita was known for her resilience, humor, and faithful nature.

Rita was married to her loving husband, Bubba Forester, and adored her children: sons John Klodzinski and the late Christopher Klodzinski, as well as her daughter, Tammy Howell. She was a proud grandmother to Mia Klodzinski, Lane Howell, Jolie Carey, and Thomas Carey, and a great-grandmother to Lana Carey.

Rita's family also includes her brothers, Robert Primeaux and David Primeaux; her sisters, Peggy Bocangera, Diana Marceaux (Woodrow) , Darla Primeaux, and Alice Shaw (Gary). She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary McBride.

Rita loved the casino cascades and enjoyed the rush of winning. She also had a passion for chili cook-offs, where she put much love and passion into every batch.

Pallbearers include Gary Forester, John Klodzinski, Thomas Carey, Arron Bocanegra, Lane Howell, and Woody Marceaux. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry McBride and David Primeau.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to a charity of your choice in Rita's memory. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
