Rita Bierria Francois

Rita Margret Bierria Francois was born on August 25, 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the third child and the first daughter to Raynard Michael Bierria, Sr and Rita Louise Peters. She attend Corpus Chirsti School and was a member of Corpus Chirsti Parish Church. She graduated from George Washington Carver High School. She met her husband when she was 13 and he was 15, Joseph Alphonse Francois, Jr. and out of this 49 year union she was blessed with two children, Angele Maire and Stephen Joseph Sr. Although she lived in New Orleans for the better part of her life, she was also a resident of Compton, Ca. She retired from Sewage and Water Board of New Orleans. She then moved to Pearland, Texas. She became an active member of Fellowship of Believers Baptist Church under the care of Pastor Julian Davis, III. She was proceeded in death by her parents Rita and Raynard Bierria, Sr., older brothers Raynard Michael Bierria, Jr., Donald Bierria, Sr. and her nephew Shawn Bierria. She leaves to cherished memories with her husband Joseph Francois, daughter, Angele Marie Davis and son, Stephen Joseph Francois, Sr. grandkids Julian "Jaydee Waydee" Davis, IV, Stephen "Stevo" Francois Jr., Jeanele "NellieBell" Davis, Joshua "Joshie Woshie" Davis, Sharmaine "Mainey" Francois, and Jael "Ms. Ellie" Davis. Also, her son-in-law, Julian Davis III and daughter-in-law, Charmaine Francois, her only sister, Sylvia Bierria, youngest brother Wayne Bierria, sister in laws, Mamie Bierria, Madeline Bierria and Denise Bierria, and Sandra Nelson, brother- in-laws, Horace Francois, Joel Drummer, Michael Jackson and Kenneth Nelson, god-children a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
