Robert worked in the banking industry for over 25 years, one of which was South Main Bank. His professional journey also took him to Houston Works in 1988 as the Workforce Development Supervisor where he was employed until 2002. His love of working with people continued when he joined Communities In Schools. He was charged with working with at-risk youths and providing them with the tools to get into college.
