Robert Milton Chandler

ROBERT MILTON "DOC" CHANDLER passed July 26, 2010. Robert "Doc" was preceded in death by his wife Glowren Snow Chandler in November this past year. He is survived by his sister Lucille Driver and brother, Donald and four daughters Gretchen, Gael, Robin, Honi and son Jerry, 6 grandchildren, great and great, great grandchildren. Doc was born in Mercedes, Texas on December 24, 1924. He received his undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University and his DDS in 1948 from University of Texas. He practiced dentistry as did his grandfather, father, 4 uncles and one aunt all practicing dentistry throughout Texas. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War as a dentist assigned to a MASH unit, after the war he set up his first dental practice in Raymondville, Texas. Later Doc and Glo moved to Houston where they raised their family and he continued his practice until earlier this year. Our family deeply and sincerely appreciates all your thoughts and prayers. Visitation will be held Friday, July 30th, 2010 from 4 pm to 7 pm. at the Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Boulevard, Houston, TX 77008.
