

In the year of 1944 on May 24th, Isreal and Lithena Green along with his siblings Elizabeth, Isreal, Charles, Freddie, and Willie welcomed the newest addition to their family affectionately known as "Mann." Robert was born May 24, 1944 in Shreveport, Louisiana. His family later moved to Keithville, Louisiana. he departed this earthly life November 10, 2017.Robert accepted Christ at a young age as a member of Liberty CME Church. He faithfully attended church, Sunday school and served as an Usher. He later became a self-inducted honorary member of St. Luke M.B.C. naming Mark C. Davis as his pastor to everyone who asked.Robert Earl attended Walnut Hill High School in Springridge, Louisiana. in addition to his studies, he enjoyed playing in the band. He held the position of drummer. he graduated from Walnut Hill in the year of 1964.He later moved to Houston in 1965, joining 2 of his brothers. He became a DJ at different locations in Houston earning himself the title "Duke of Earl."In 1976 he married the love of his life Ethel Mae Green. Along with his new wife, he gained a beautiful daughter Tetra whom he loved and reared as his very own. To this joyous union, Robert, Jr. was born, an amazing addition to what would be known as the Green family.Robert worked for Kay Meat Packing for years making sure that his family ate rib-eye and porterhouse steaks. Upon leaving Kay, he started his own business, Green Cleaning Service. He employed his children and his family members teaching them values and the benefits of hard work. In his latter years, worked in retail, making Houston one of the best dressed cities in the world (let him tell it).He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Willie Green, 2 nephews; Michael Earl Green and Reginald Dewayne, one sister-in-law; Susie Gree and one brother-in-law; Doc Tyson.He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 41 years, Ethel Green, one daughter; Tetra Taylor (Kevin), one son; Robert Green, Jr., one grandson; Eric and one granddaughter; Nicole Waller, one sister; Elizabeth Tyson, 3 brothers; Isreal Jr., Charles Sr. (Billie) and Fredrick Sr. (Sylvia) Green.
