Bob graduated from Texas City High School, class of 1967 and was a graduate of the University of Houston. He went on to work as a Shift Director, Chemical Plant Operator, and System Operator with numerous refineries, including Union Carbide, Amoco, and BP, for over 34 years.
Bob enjoyed fishing, golfing, and, most of all, spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Odbert Myers.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Carolyn Taylor; sons, Benjamin and Johnathon Myers; his brother, Tom Myers, and wife, Rachel; stepdaughter, Christina Cross; and stepson, Daniel Cross, and wife, Christi. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren: Alison Myers, Layla Myers, Sawyer Myers, Jonathan Howard, Nathan Cross, Autumn Myers, Bella Lopez and Colin Myers.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all of Bob’s family and friends for the love, care, and compassion they showed him during his final days. A special thanks to UTMB and Kindred Care for their kindness, care, and support during this difficult time.
