Robert B. Parker, born January 25, 1925 to John and Gladys Parker in Ferriday, Louisiana, passed away January 18, 2011 in Houston, Texas. Mr. Parker served his country proudly during World War II in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Lexington. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary B. Parker.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 12 noon Friday, January 21, 2011 at First United Methodist Church, 1320 Main Street @ Clay, Houston, Texas 77002, where the funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Entombment will be private in Woodlawn Mausoleum, Ferriday, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations may be made to First Choice Ministries, c/o of First United Methodist Church.
