Brandi my deepest condolences to you and the family. I am keeping you and the girls in my thoughts and prayers as you navigate through this difficult time.  I'm here for you whenever you need to talk day or night.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I came to MSU with the same football class as Rob in 1992 which means we knew each other for 30 years.  Although we didn’t remain in as close of contact as we would have liked after MSU, it was like we never spent time apart once we met up for MSU events over the years.   The last time I saw Rob was when we had lunch at Detroit Metro airport late last summer.  We were both flying out after our weekend at MSU.  We had a great lunch and talked about a lot of things…just like we used to at MSU.  We hugged each other goodbye when we had to go to our separate gates.  As we were walking away from each other, I head Rob yell from 50 ft away: „ I love you man!“.  I yelled the same back to him.  That was pure Rob.  The definition of brotherhood.   I hope you will receive some comfort in knowing that he is at peace now.  He will be missed dearly by all that knew him.  You have my sincere condolences. - Dave Kehr

I met Rob when I got to West Hi in 1989 and he was 1 of the coolest brothas on the planet. We built a good relationship and became friends. I would kick it at his crib and he would kick it at mine and we would talk about life and where we want to be as adults. He was 1 hell of an athlete with sick speed and I always knew he would go D1 with ease! He even came with me to church 1 day and we both stood up and went to the Alter for prayer. He was cool with my father and knew how much I loved him. I would always tell him how I'm gonna have to go to Africa to spread my father's ashes when he passes and he encouraged me that when that time comes to deliver my father's request.  1 day as a immature youngin I made a grave mistake with our friendship and it caused friction between us and after admitting my wrong and apologizing he forgave me and I will never forget that. He could have easily walked away and never spoke to me again but the forgiveness was always in his heart! Thank you brother for the forgiveness! It changed me in terms of how I looked at true friendship. When we both moved to Atlanta we hung out often. I was happy to be able to see you get married, buy your house and have kids! I'm appreciative for the invites to the cookouts and New Year's Eve parties.  I will never forget the friendship we had the fun times in school and in Atlanta. When I was going through problems in my marriage he supported me encouraged me and always told me to keep my head up! I'm gonna miss you bro. We talked recently about connecting when you come back to Atlanta and now we wont get that chance. Rest In Power to a TRUE KING! You will be missed but you will never be forgotten! Find my Pop in heaven and tell him I love him. I'm sure he will be waiting to talk with you! Nothin but love for 2 Dub! It was some of the funnest times of my life! In 1988 I met a cool, even tempered and very rational guy that was sometimes called Ravee. You gave good sound advice even in High School. When you came home and came to the house for the Bengals Championship game, we talked like we used to, instead of about my children, we talked about your girls. You lit up with excitement talking about watching them play sports. I would have never imagined that would be the last time I would see or speak to you. It hurts my heart that the world could not give you what you needed. You can Rest In Peace, our Heavenly Creator will now provide for you. You will always be my brother from another mother.

My deepest condolences, and continuous prayers for your family. I was the baby in the VW crew, and when I move to Westwood, you was the 1st person that welcomed me. 37 years of friendship, and even though we were miles away, you always reminded that no matter if we hadn't seen each other in a while, we would link, and it would be like no time had passed. One of the 1st people that reached out to me when I lost my daughter, and again when I lost my mom. I'm so glad that so many people love you. I'm so glad you was able to touch so many people's lives. Brandi I didn't know Robert personally, only through the words and pictures you shared.  Continue to stay strong and know that you and the girls will always be in my prayers.

Since I got the call, my mind has been flooded with memories of us as kids (our young, dumb & stupid phase) and us as we grew into adulting. We didnt have all the answers and was completely ok with that, but navigated this thing called life together.  I can remember when you 1st met Brandi.  You were so excited to have finally met the future Mrs. 2Dub....we talked for hours about your chance meeting.  It was such great joy to hear & see you so, so, so happy.   It is my prayer that God encamps his best angels around Brandi, your baby girls, your parents, your siblings and all of us, as we begin the daunting task of living life on earth without you.  You are were my guardian angel on earth, now you will be my guardian angel in heaven.  Oh, and since you would often crack jokes on me about being a church girl and  knew how my mind plays a soundtrack to some events in my life, I will share the song that's been playing in my head since I got the call that you went home to be with Jesus. When I think if you, your soundtrack has changed from 2Pac's "ain't nothing but a gangsta party (inside joke)" to the gospel song "Forever is a long time, and that's how long I'll love you, that's how long I'll love you, forever".....I hope you knew just how much we all loved you.....until we meet again 2Dub.

This is another reason why I will always love my brother 2Dub - he was committed to being an awesome big brother to me.  When my father passed away suddenly in 2002, 2Dub decided that he was going to step in to make sure any man I dated knew that I had protection.  He already had plans to take his beautiful wife out to dinner and was like, "Rah-Rah, me & Brandi about to go eat, bring that dude down to meet me, so I can check him out. You spending too much time and ain't none of us met him." I didnt argue, I got dressed and headed to meet him. He kept every promise he made to me. I absolutely loved the way he loved his wife, his children, his family and all of us. He made us all feel so loved & special. It is my prayer that he truly felt that love back, carried that love with him & that he is resting peacefully with the Master.  I will never know why, but am learning to find comfort in knowing that I will see him again. 💚🙏🏽💚

From 1994, we have always had each other's backs. From being students at our beloved Michigan State University to adulting in Georgia, to last week, we always checked in on each other & supported each other.  I remember when I moved to Georgia and was lost on 285, 2dub got in his car, drove to find me, guided me back to my side of town and literally gave me a hand-drawn map that I still have & share with people today, so that I would never be stuck again.  He was one of the only flawless humans that I know. My friend, my brother, I will carry you in my heart forever. #SD4L

Sending condolences and prayers to the family. Robert was a friend and awesome  Father…A person-who worked extremely hard and was always a joy to be around. I last saw Robert in September 21’ he was among his Spartan Dawg family here in Miami attending a football game. A true warrior and loyal friend. We often shared our views on music, growing up in the Midwest sports, and life. Very sad to hear the news about his passing, prayers to his wife Brandi, and his beautiful daughters, and his entire family. May his memories stay alive and live through his family and friends.
