Robert (Bob) Zwissler, 90, peacefully passed away on April 30, 2017 in Houston, Texas. He was born August 30, 1926 in Hamilton County, Ohio to Elmer and Margaret Zwissler. He was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life, his precious and beautiful Frances. Robert served in the U.S. Navy and after his military service he served as a Fire Fighter with the City of Houston Fire Department from November 1, 1956 to February 2, 1977. He was also a electrician by trade.
More than anything, “Uncle Bob” was a gentle and kind hearted man. He was always filled with joy and held a very positive and friendly spirit. He was an avid fisherman who worked to spend every spare minute in his boat from Galveston to Key West. He was a true “buddie” who will always hold a special place in our hearts. Rest in Peace, “Uncle Bob”. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 1-3 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with a Graveside service to follow at 3PM at Forest Park Cemetery.
