Roger A. Rodriguez

Roger A. Rodriguez, 82, born February 7, 1940, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, passed into eternal rest at his home on December 28, 2022, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was the fourth of nine children born to Jose T. and Juana A. Rodriguez.

Roger is survived by his children from his first marriage to Hilaria V. Rodriguez: Roger Rodriguez, Jr., Rosie Barrientos, Cindy Silva and Ruben Rodriguez. His spouse Carmen D. Rodriguez and step-children:, Luis Rosado, Militza Rosado and Mirian Rosado. Siblings: Yolanda Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez, Joe Rodriguez, Rudy Rodriguez and Carmen Rodriguez. Fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents Jose T. and Juana A. Rodriguez; siblings Agustina R. Solis, Pete Rodriguez, Nora Hernandez and great-granddaughter Bianca Rose Barrientoz.

Roger enjoyed playing baseball and was an avid bowler in his younger years. He also had a passion for music; especially singing, writing songs and playing guitar.

A visitation for Roger will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, TX 77023. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 12:00 p.m. followed by Liturgy of the Word. Committal service 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Forest Park Lawndale.
