Ronald John Pietrowski, a resident of Houston, Texas, passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on June 12, 1947, Ronald was known for his loyalty, hard work, and sense of humor, qualities that endeared him to all who knew him.
Ronnie attended Assumption Catholic School and graduated from St. Pius High School in 1966. Following his education, he joined the US Navy, serving honorably on the USS Eldorado and the USS Vancouver in the Amphibious Group Three.
Though Ronnie was never married, he was a beloved uncle to his numerous nieces and nephews, earning a special place in their hearts. His personal interests included avid reading and a passion for sports, particularly as a devoted fan of the Houston Astros and Houston Texans.
A dedicated member of the Beautiful Savior Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Ronnie was deeply involved in his community. He was a loyal friend, always doing his best in every task or duty he undertook.
Ronnie's final wish was for no one to cry for him, expressing his contentment with a life well-lived and his faith in being with his God. He hoped for a reunion with loved ones in the future.
He is survived by his cousins Faye Schindler, Susie Moszkowicz, Sherry Faterkowski, Sonny Galick, Grady Wierzbicki, Richard Pietrowski, John Pietrowski, Jerry Pietrowski, numerous nieces and nephews, special friend Linda Settlemire, and many church friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be held at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, on February 9, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. The funeral service will follow at the same location from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, with the committal service immediately after from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
Officiating services will be Pastor Russell Strimple.
Pallbearers will include Wayne Schindler, R Dean Schindler, Robert Lindberg, David Horn, and Edward Faterkowski. Honorary Pallbearers will include Ronald Schindler and Bill Moszkowicz.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of your choice.
Ronnie's sense of humor and his unwavering spirit will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
