I am Bernie & Virginias oldest son Rick. I think the last time I saw Ronny was around 1960. We moved to California in 1963. I loved all the hunting pictures it must run in the blood as me and my younger brother Steve also love to hunt. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Rest in peace cuz.

We want to express our sincere condolences in the loss of your husband/father/grandfather-Ronnie . It has been many years since all of us have been together to share stories and reminisce our childhoods. Even though it has been over 50 years since my parents left South Dakota and moved to California, it does not erase the fondness of family and the connection we have from South Dakota. The video on Ronnie's life was very nice and I would conclude that his two passions in life was his "family"and the "outdoors". Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at these difficult times.
With sincere sympathy,
Terry and Patty (Rowan) Smith

When I was 14 years old my Dad and I visited Ronnie's mom, Loretta. Ronald was a year younger than me at that time and I met several of the kids, including Ron. Be at peace, cousin.

I don't have a memory of Ronald but I was quite young and remember when Aunt Loretta came to Oregon during the war to work in the shipyards (she was a welder). She stayed with us during that time. My Mother was her older sister, Marie.
I'm very sorry for your loss!
